The Renault Commitment 2009 plan
This plan expresses Renault’s ambition to make and sustain Renault as the most profitable European volume car company.
Renault Commitment 2009 has three major commitments:
• Position the next Laguna, which will be launched in 2007, among the top three models in its segment in terms of product and service quality
The progresses achieved with this product will be applied to all the other products, with the same exigency all over the world. Concerning the environment, Renault is today one of more efficient carmaker worldwide in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The objective is to improve even more, by selling one million cars emitting less 140 g CO2/km, of which one-third will emit less than 120g, starting 2008.
• Achieving an operating profit margin of 6% in 2009
Renault will increase its competitiveness through a program of cost reduction and investment optimization, taking benefit from the synergies with Nissan within the Alliance.
• Sell an additional 800,000 vehicles in 2009 compared to 2005
Renault will launch 26 new models between 2006 and 2009 in order to fulfill his customers’ needs and expectations, on all markets. Half of these launches will be extensions of the current models. The sales volume outside Europe will grow from 27% to 37% in 2009. |
