Renault Technologies Romania, a regional engineering centre in close touch with local customers

Renault Technologie Roumanie (RTR) is the only automotive engineering center in Eastern Europe and the Mediteraneean Region and the largest engineering center of Renault out of France, with about 2300 engineers.

Renault Technologies Romania (RTR) mainly accommodates engineering functions (conception and testing), along with purchasing, design and support (management, human resources, IT) functions.

The main fields of activity of Renault Technologie Roumanie are designing and improving vehicles and adapting engines and powertrains. RTR handles development of powertrain and vehicle projects (passenger cars and LCVs) to be made at regional production plants or sold on Euromed (Eastern Europe, Russia, Maghreb, Turkey) regional markets.

RTR is currently working with Renault’s Western European engineering team on a number of vehicle projects. It will eventually become the engineering hub for all vehicles developed on the Logan platform.

Renault Technologies Romania has three main sites:

• Bucharest: styling studio and design center 
• Piteşti: assistance to Dacia vehicle and mecanical plants and testing activities for vehicle and mecanical fields
• Titu: testing center (tracks and testing benches)  to become functional in the second part of 2010
